The hand is warmed prior to exercise by using a heating pad for 5 minutes or moist heat (a moist face towel in the microve, 1 minute on high, careful not to burn). When completed apply ice for 5 minutes - ice should not be place directly on the skin.

The general hand exercise will be sufficient for most situation. You will be advised of need for specific exercise. Each finger joint should be isolated in the exercise.
